Amplify Austin Day is the biggest day of giving in Central Texas and over the past 9 years has raised over $82 million for nonprofit organizations in the region. This year, Amplify Austin Day will start on March 2nd at 6pm and run through March 3rd at 6pm. During this 24-hour span, the Austin community will donate to help a wide range of nonprofits. I Live Here I Give Here, the group behind the Amplify Austin program, works to ensure the Austin community is supported as it grows.
At Launch, we believe in giving back to the community that is a foundation for who we are. As part of our 2022 participation in Amplify Austin, we will be making a $5,000 matching donation to Breakthrough Central Texas. Breakthrough CTX supplies a path to college for first-generation college students. They use extended learning, comprehensive advising and leadership experiences for these students that are all valuable in their college journey. We are inspired by the positive impacts they are making in our Austin community and beyond.
Launch will also make a $100 donation per employee to a local organization of their choosing. Read more below to see which organizations our team members chose and why.
Christa, Founder and CEO – Breakthrough Central Texas
“Breakthrough Central Texas creates a path to and through college for students who will be the first in their families to graduate from college. Their mission is truly inspiring and aligns with one of my passions, helping the next generation learn, grow and achieve their goals. I am so proud to be a longtime supporter of their organization!”
Shawna, Executive Director Accounts and Operations – B.I.G. Love Cancer Care
“This year I am once again donating to B.I.G. Love Cancer. I admire this organization’s work of making the lives of children with cancer and their families easier through their free programs and resources. Their story and mission are truly inspiring.”
Jeff, Executive Director Client Engagement – Texas 4000
“Like so many others, cancer has severely impacted the lives of those I love. Texas 4000 is an inspiring organization that cultivates student leaders, engages communities, and raises funds to support research and initiatives that will move us closer to the goal of eradicating this pervasive group of diseases.”
John, Head of Business Development – Alzheimer’s Texas
“I choose to support Alzheimer’s Texas for their dedication to end Alzheimer’s through the support of research and the enhancement of care services for individuals, their families and caregivers.”
Eduardo, Marketing Specialist – Breast Cancer Resource Center
“Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death globally. To help put a stop to this, I have chosen to support Breast Cancer Resources Center and help their mission.”
Mary, Marketing Specialist – BookSpring
“Books are such an important part of children’s lives, but some families have limited access to them. BookSpring is helping change that by providing low-income families with children with books ranging in a variety of topics. This is such an important mission in helping children build literacy skills and reading habits!”
Nathan, Marketing Intern – ArtSpark
“I am excited to be donating to ArtSpark because of their mission to give a voice to individuals with disabilities through the arts. ArtSpark also produces and promotes performances and artwork from disabled individuals in dance, theater, media, art and music. They’re the only organization in Texas that work at the intersection of art, education and disability.”
